TAROT READING
"For now we see through a glass, darkly."
Corinthians

why we read
Most people arrive at tarot hoping something will be predicted for them — an outcome, some reassurance, some hint about what the future might decide. The Tribute Tarot does not work that way.
This deck is built for a different purpose: to look at the structural truth of where you stand right now, and to understand the psychological forces shaping that moment. Nothing here is mystical or fated.
A reading is a conversation with the interior life — an examination of the emotional, relational, and existential weight you carry, and the direction it quietly suggests. It is a method of seeing clearly, not a method of being told what to do.

look - think - speak
When people ask for a reading, they are usually standing in the middle of something they cannot fully interpret: a relationship that has become uncertain, a career that no longer matches who they are, or the larger existential question of what the next version of their life is supposed to look like.
The cards do not answer these questions with predictions. They answer by offering a mirror — not a future, but a present. That clarity emerges through my seven-part structure, which shows the underlying architecture of the situation: the pressure, the pattern, the hesitation, the turning point, and the deeper shadow beneath it.

the dark glass method
The clarity of a reading is not intuitive or improvised. It is shaped by the Dark Glass Method used throughout this site.
It is a fixed, seven-part system — steady, reflective, and psychologically grounded. It looks at the surface of your situation, the deeper motives beneath it, the turning point where truth becomes unavoidable, and the shadow that makes the moment heavier than it appears. Then it brings the focus back to coherence and a way forward.
It is a slow method, built on proportion and reason — not speed, spectacle, or performance. You will not find intuition, mysticism, or upward-leaning optimism here. You will find a way of thinking that is clear, adult, and honest.

what is your question?
If you are new to this reading method, it will help to begin with How to Ask a Question, which lays out the difference between a helpful question and one that leads nowhere. Only one question is accepted per reading.
Many people ask for predictions when what they need is perspective. Understanding how to frame a question properly is the first step in understanding what the cards can actually offer.
After that, the Request a Reading page will explain how to submit your question and what to expect.

example readings
If you want to see what a reading looks like before you ask for one, you can explore the three Example Readings. These are full-length, real working examples of how the method operates when applied to relationships, career situations, or deeper existential questions.
These examples are not softened. They are not predictive. They show the method exactly as it is used in a real reading.
They are a clear exploration of what happens when you look directly at yourself and your situation without distraction.
