A Dark Glass Reading is a seven-card written tarot reading built around the situation you are facing now. It does not attempt to predict what will happen, offer reassurance, or tell you what you should do. Its purpose is to examine the structure of the present — what is visible, what is being avoided, where the pressure lies, and what may need to be recognised before the situation can move.
The reading is psychologically grounded rather than mystical or intuitive. The cards are used as a fixed framework through which the question is examined from seven distinct positions: Here & Now, Known Self, Unknown Self, The Turn, The Shadow, The Rising, and Way Forward. Together they move from the immediate circumstances into the less visible forces shaping them, and then outward again toward a clearer understanding of what is possible.
There are no reversed cards and no future-casting. Each position already contains both its conscious and hidden dimensions. The final Way Forward is not a prediction or instruction; it identifies the direction most consistent with what the reading has revealed.
The result is a substantial written document rather than a brief card interpretation. It is intended for situations that benefit from sustained attention — relationships, work, difficult decisions, recurring patterns, periods of uncertainty, or questions that resist an easy answer.

This approach is not for everyone. If you prefer prediction, reassurance, or intuitive advice, this will not be the right fit. If you want clarity, proportion, and an honest examination of your situation, then this method will make sense.
what a reading requires
A reading requires only one thing from you: a single, clear question. It does not need to be eloquent or perfect. It only needs to be truthful.
A question framed around a real situation you are currently facing is usually enough.
No metaphysical information is required — no birth date, star sign, or esoteric background.
Your submitted question and completed reading are treated as confidential. They will not be shared, published, or used publicly without your permission. Full details are set out in the Privacy Policy.
BEFORE YOU PURCHASE A READING
Before submitting your question, please read the following carefully. These points explain how the reading process works.
One question per reading.
Each Dark Glass Reading is built around a single question. If you have more than one question, separate readings are required.
Question length.
Your question should be clear and concise. A few sentences is ideal. The reading responds to the situation described rather than long written narratives.
Once submitted, the question cannot be changed.
Because the reading process begins shortly after purchase, questions cannot be edited or replaced once submitted. Please choose with care.
Structure of the reading.
Each reading is built around seven tarot cards, interpreted across seven titled sections in a structured written format.
Length of the reading.
The completed interpretation is typically 3,000–4,000 words.
Delivery.
Your reading is delivered privately by email as a PDF document, usually within 5–7 days, depending on demand.
Printing.
The PDF format allows you to read on screen or print the document if you wish.
Follow-up questions.
Each reading is delivered as a complete written document. Ongoing discussion or additional interpretation is not included.
timeframe
The time frame for receiving your reading will vary depending on demand, but will usually be completed within an agreed window that I will confirm once your question is submitted.
If there is a delay for any reason, you will be notified.
refunds & cancellations
Your cancellation rights are set out in Terms, Privacy & Returns.
If you cancel after work has begun at your request, any refund may be reduced to reflect the work already completed.
Once the reading has been completed, the cancellation right ends.
